Hello ECYB Families –

While kids playing baseball may seem like a distant -- and maybe even frivolous – prospect at this difficult time for our country, good preparations will help us emerge from the COVID crisis. Planning has always kept ECYB running smoothly. This is an update on the safety plan for the ECYB 2021 season that is currently open for registration. As a reminder the Early Bird Discount ends December 31.

ECYB will take necessary precautions to keep our players, coaches, umpires, and families safe. ECYB is prepared to change its safety protocols according to the state’s health and safety directives. We will, however, model our program after other successful leagues including our own Summer and Fall Ball programs. At a minimum, mask use will be enforced and there will be distancing on the field and in the dugout.

Season Details

The season will start in team pods, practicing and potentially scrimmaging within their team. The goal will be inter-team play but safety is, once again, our top priority.

The start of the season will be pushed back. Evaluations will take place the weekend of February 13th-14th. Practices will start in early March.

Registration Fee

We expect to have the kids participating in baseball for the full season, even if limited to team pods. However in the event that ECYB has to cancel the season prior to March 1, we will refund the majority of the registration fee (less non-refundable and fixed cost of insurance and field rentals - $75).
