2020 Evaluations

We hold player evaluations so that team managers and coaches can make an assessment of the skill level of each registered participant prior to drafting their teams. Our goal is to create teams that are as equal in talent as possible. This greatly enhances the enjoyment of the season for everyone. This is NOT a try out! All registered players are placed on teams.

PLEASE NOTE:  Shetland players do not attend evaluations.

Players should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled evaluation session so they may check in and warm up. Baseball pants and cleats are preferred but not strictly necessary. Just make sure your child is wearing clothes and shoes they can play in. A baseball hat is definitely a good idea to shade the sun. If your child owns a glove and/or a bat, please bring these along. If not, don’t buy one before evaluation day. There will be some for the players to use and it is better to discuss the purchase of bats and gloves with your coach in advance so you get the right things.

The date or location may change due to weather or field conditions.  Please keep checking the website for updates.  Evaluations are held even in light rain.

We need parent volunteers to support the evaluations.  Please sign up using the following link:  EVALUATIONS SIGNUP.  Volunteers receive league hours credit for helping out.  It is easy to pick up hours, when your player is at the field anyway.

If you have questions about evaluations, please contact the applicable division president:
