All teams will gather in uniform at El Cerrito High School at 9:30 am on March 2, before the parade starts at 10:00 am.  Please gather on the Eureka side at Ashbury.  The parade will head down Ashbury and up Moeser to Cerrito Vista Park.

Opening Day cannot happen without member volunteers.  Opening Day is one of the best opportunities for families to earn league hours to qualify for a parent participation refund.  Numerous job openings remain.  Here is a link for the signup sheet:  OPENING DAY VOLUNTEERS.  Volunteers will receive credit for time attending any organizational meetings.

ECYB, in conjunction with ECHS Baseball, is giving back to our community through a Canned Food Drive.  Please bring a can (or a couple of cans) of food to the starting point of the parade at El Cerrito High School the morning of March 2.  Donation bins will be at the corner of Ashbury and Eureka.  ECHS Baseball players will be at Opening Day collecting the canned food and will deliver it to a local food bank.

Opening Day is also photo day.  The team photo schedule is be released soon.  An email will be sent out before the end of February with order forms and other information.  When you order, remember that certain packages, including basic as well as larger packages, offer a rebate to ECYB from the photographer.  Each team should identify a photo day coordinator to gather players 15 minutes before the appointed time and help distribute the order forms and information.

Opening Day and Photo Day will still go forward in a light rain.
